About Me

My name is Zoë and I Iove helping women to feel special in what they’re wearing. I come from a family of bespoke tailors and grew up helping out in their Surry Hills business. My mother tailored my clothes for me, so I developed my own sense of style, which has always been commented on.

I spent time as a fashion photographer, which helped me learn the essence of clothing and how it is worn. I also studied graphic design, working as a designer with particular skills in colour and layout.

After my two daughters were born, I started making children’s clothes under the label Fabboo. I was constantly asked by mums whether I would consider adding an adult collection and so I turned my hand to establishing a range with natural materials, subtle colour and universal shapes. I also spent time styling women who needed outfits for specific occasions and it was this bespoke service that I wanted to make available to everyone.

My Process

I opened my boutique in Bowral in 2016. Located in the centre of the Southern Highlands, it’s a great place to draw inspiration from nature.

It’s very important to me that all of my pieces are made here in Australia. I source all of my fabrics very carefully, including Merino wool from Australia, silks and linens from Europe.

I design all my patterns and make up the first version to check the details and the drape of the fabric. Then I work with a very small team of pattern cutters, machinists and tailors (including my mum) to ensure that every size is perfect.

I often make to order, so if you see anything from the range that you like, I am happy to modify to suit. I craft my collection to include basics and wardrobe staples that every woman needs. They are easy to wear, timeless and luxurious. I then add special items that will add an extra layer of style.

Styling

If you need assistance with your personal style, I can help. Ladies love coming to see me in the shop or at markets as I have the ability to gauge what they need before they have even seen it for themselves. They often leave with their favourite pieces in multiple colours as they know my clothes will look great even on days when they don’t know what to wear.

To help, I have put together some capsule wardrobes of trans seasonal pieces that go together perfectly and can be worn in a number of ways so they look different every time. Shop the capsules and have a look at my recommended pairings. Then read the blog for inspiration on ways to wear so that your look is always fresh. And my monthly newsletter is full of hints, tips and news, so why not sign up? I’d love to chat.
